Come and join the new 2025 Master Gardeners class!

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.

The new class is starting January 15 and will continue every Wednesday until April 23 from 8:45AM-3:00 PM at the Eastern Shore Agricultural Research and Extension Center (AREC), located in Painter, VA.

The cost of the course is $125 covering materials and lectures by local experts plus a $12.50 non-refundable application fee.

You will learn about soil, fertilizers, plants and landscaping. These classes are taught by experts in their field, are specific to Eastern Shore gardening issues, and include educational field trips. You will develop resources to answer your questions as well as those from other gardeners who ask you for information. You will be able to get ideas for your garden. You also will give back to the community by volunteering 50 hours during your internship. After the course and the volunteer hours are completed, you will be able to call yourself a MASTER GARDENER.
